A Golden Rule for Sellers: Never Clean Your Coins!
We often meet customers who spent their weekend scrubbing vintage coins with soap, baking soda, or silver polish to make them look shiny. Cleaning damages the delicate surface luster, causes microscopic hairlines, and can reduce a coin's collector value by up to 90%. Always bring your coins in their natural, original state tarnish, dirt, and all.

- No-Pressure Cash or Check Offer: If you decide to sell, we make a clear, competitive cash or company check offer on the spot. If you prefer to keep your heirlooms, you leave with our compliments and a clearer picture of your collection's worth.

How do you determine what my coins are worth?
Valuation is based on three fundamental factors:
-
- Rarity & Mint Mark: How many were minted, how many survived, and where it was struck (e.g., Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, or Carson City, West Point, Etc.
- Condition (Grade): The degree of wear on high points, luster, and strike quality.
- Precious Metal Melt Value: For common circulated junk silver and modern bullion, prices track real-time spot prices for gold, silver, and platinum.
